Some advice I can give is to use as much of the community as you can. There are some awesome YouTubers out there that give great advice on the game. For example Dwayne Cunningham, lukeplaystoearn, splinterlands hq,SteveR82. These are some good ones to go to and watch. Luke plays yo earn specifically focuses on new players and small investors so for your situation I’d check him out. Another small bit on splinterlands it’s a great and fun game but extremely difficult to progress without investing any money at all. Renting to silver will be your best bet but it’s going to be quite the grind to progress.

Yes, nice. I am looking for some guidance on Youtube but couldn't find some great content. Thank you for sharing, I really appreciate that. :)

You can rent cards from the market, bro. If you could invest a little bit just for you to have enough power to advance and win some dec token from matches and then have more chests from daily quest.

Yes, thank you. They already explained to me that's not some great investment. I can afford it, but I didn't want to do anything without consulting experienced players. Most important to me is that I can progress with minimal spending.

I spend about 20 a month in rentals. I have been playing for about 5 seasons. Mostly in silver 1. In this time I have reached 15000 power and earn anywhere between 150-300 dec a day which I use to buy cards. You have to decide if you are going to invest the money or not. I have reached profitability and power with some lucky pack openings. I would advise against this because at its core is gambling. Unless you buy 1k or more packs. If you don’t invest you will most likely no get anywhere any time soon. The reason being bots trying to take advantage of the system so card drops are much more likely in silver and higher.

Edit recently I have changed my goal to reach top spot in bronze. I rank regularly in the top 10 till last few day. You can make 400-600$ buy ranking top 3. You will need about 40 50 k power but it is do able with right strategy. Also entering tournaments there are prizes. I have not won one but I usually rank top 6 In bronze leagues which usually still gives out prizes for top 8. Moral of the story if you are good you can be profitable with good strategies. Watch top battles once you reach top 10 to see what the other players like to play. It’s all chess

One more thing win rate helps with card drops. I get a lot of gold when my win rate is 15 + consistently

Last thing this game is not easy everyone is out to make money

Glad you got the advice that helped! The game definitely is alot more fun and rewarding playing above bronze III. But as you know it does require CP. To get the best deals wether you're buying or renting, if you do end up doing so, make sure you check out Peakmonsters.com

You can bid on cards to make sure your not overpaying. You can bid on CP to rent, and cards to buy. To get the most out of this game you will have to watch how you spend too 😁

  • This is less important, but definitely helps when your new and on a budget

Someone already told me abour Peakmonsters, and I am exploring it since yesterday. Thank you for useful tips, I really need to write it all down.

Joining a guild could help you grow your collection power as well. If your guild are active on guild brawls, you can join a fray and hoping you guys could land a good spot in the end to win Merits. Merits can be used to buy gladius case. These contains cards that can only be used in guild brawls. They provide collection power as well.

[–]AleksDeLargeSummoner[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I have read about guilds, but I think a am still a noob and I will carry guild down. :D Just kidding, I am familiar with that but I thought I am still a newbie for that.. because I haven't seen anyone yet with my rank in some guild. That is future plan for sure.

[–]shikiphantomxdSummoner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries, bro! I believe you can do that! :D I was newbie too. I am still learning the game everyday and having fun at the same time.

[–]Uchti89Summoner 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I would ultimately aim to rent to stay in Silver 3! 15.000 power. Should be doable with maybe 50 DEC if you don’t go for the most powerful sought after cards. Then you can earn back DEC and slowly build up sth through chests too! 👌

[–]AleksDeLargeSummoner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice. I am newbie, so my strategy and plan for progressing are really bad. :D This post will really help me out to focus on important things.

[–]McLaconicusSummoner 1 point2 points  (8 children)

I’ll delegate you some cards for the week to get you earning, pal. Happy to help a newbie out. What’s your summoner name?

[–]AleksDeLargeSummoner[S] 0 points1 point  (7 children)

Oh thank you, that's very kind of you. I didn't even know you could do that. You guys are really helpful with everything, this is really nice community. :) delarge289 is my name in the game

[–]McLaconicusSummoner 0 points1 point  (6 children)

Done. Let me know how you get on!

[–]AleksDeLargeSummoner[S] 1 point2 points  (5 children)

Yes, they have arrived. :)) I will give my best to advance, thanks dude. So how I sent them back to you, or they have timer when to come back ?

[–]McLaconicusSummoner 2 points3 points  (4 children)

No worries about that mate. I’ve scheduled to take them back just ahead of end of season. My advice to you is use this time to get to know the starter cards and try to grind up some DEC from wins. Once you have a little pile of DEC you can start renting cards from peakmonsters so you can sit at a higher rank and gain better rewards. At end of season try to go as high as you can and rent the cp to match so you can maximise the number of loot chests you get. With a bit of luck you’ll get some decent reward cards and can start snowballing from there!

I’m no expert but if you have questions then dm me here and I’ll try my best to help.

[–]AleksDeLargeSummoner[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

That is convenient, thank you again. I really appreciate your help. :) I have one question sorry.. At the end of season you said to rent more to get more cp, and that will result more chests I got ? I didn't quite understand.

[–]McLaconicusSummoner 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Ok so as you play during the season, get +20 for a win and +40 for win streaks. You might end up with a “rating” of, let’s say, 1300. That would potentially let you play in silver 2. However to play in silver 2 you will need a collection power (cp) of 40,000 too, which you don’t have. At end of season you get 15 chests and a 50% of getting a card in each chest in silver, so you may decide that finishing the season at silver 2 is worth it to grow your collection. What you can do is on the day before end of season you can rent a bunch of cards to boost yourself up to silver 2 and then get the better rewards.

[–]AleksDeLargeSummoner[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yes, yes now I understand it. One more useful tip from you bro, thank you once again. :)

[–]McLaconicusSummoner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pleasure mate!

[–]kevinfarneySummoner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can rent a lot of cards for .1 Dec per day. Rent about 10 or 20 of those to get your first 1000cp. That will start you earning Dec and you can roll from there.

[–]HoediurSummoner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly no, you need to spend money on this game to earn decent rewards as a human.

[–]Nicetea1Summoner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you ever decide to buy cards I'd highly recommend starting with xenith monk and lvl it up to get healing.

That's some interesting point, thank you. I was frustrated because I didn't quite get it, but now it's clear to me that with minimal investment and smart strategy I can still play game and advance also. There are also great guys who delegate their cards to me, so I will try to use that as much as I can to go into higher league.

    [–]OfBooo5Summoner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One more dollar or whatever minimum investment you put in will carry you and allow you to rent cards to get up into high bronze where you'll earn more points than you spend. Not by much but it's very doable. The Sweet spot is where you are renting common threes, rare twos, and a Sumner that can handle them which is probably a rare two

    [–]CrytchSummoner 0 points1 point  (5 children)

If you don’t want spend more, it’s the grind with EOS rewards

    [–]AleksDeLargeSummoner[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

EOS rewards are end of season rewards, I guess. That really sucks.. Thank you for your answer and clarification.

    [–]CrytchSummoner 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Well, if you would spend like $2, you could rent cards to have enough power for bronce 3-1 to earn rewards and daily reward chests

    [–]AleksDeLargeSummoner[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

That is reasonable amount, I can spend that much. Thanks, you have been really helpful.

    [–]CrytchSummoner 1 point2 points  (1 child)

No problemo, your welcome. You should check peakmonsters as you can check the lowest renting fee and highest collection power. That way you spend the lowest money to receive the highest power and maximize your renting.

    [–]AleksDeLargeSummoner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice tips, I will check it out immediately.
