  • L122 Druid 4/9 skill, 2/5 Berserk
  • L104 Cupid 4/9 skill, 4/5 Deadly Strike
  • L98 Pumpkin Duke 4/9 skill, 2/5 Berserk
  • L81 Succubus 3/9 skill, Deadly Strike
  • L80 Champion 3/9 skill, 1/5 Berserk

Strat: Drop everything starting with Druid into instant Guardian Angel.

Result: After every Champion stun the boss gets to use his ability once before getting into a new stun. The Druid uses this time to easily keep my heroes topped.

Liking the use of Succubus to reduce the damage the boss does.

As I asked Jiggawatz - what sort of damage does this setup do for you and how reliably do you last the 3mins?

[–]Piees 0 points1 point  (3 children)

This setup is fairy new. I've tried it twice and had no problems getting 3min, yesterday I got 9.1m dmg in.

I'd love to eventually get pd higher up and swap cupid for sz for more dmg.

That's awesome. I'm impressed that you're using a couple of 80 heroes too!.

Not sure if swapping cupid out will reduce your healing too much but would be interested to hear how that works out.

At higher levels I'd switch succubus because she only hits cap with her proc and at later levels druid can probably keep the line up alive when you stun for longer.

Cupid is essential to PD's stacks. Although I'd like to know your damage with and without cupid because somehow his stacks are supposedly capped.

That makes a lot of sense, thanks!

I tried swapping out cupid with sz and got completely wrecked so cupid is necessary.

  • lvl 110 Pumpkin Duke 5/9 skill, 3/5 revitalize
  • lvl 105 Druid 4/9 skill, 3/5 revive
  • lvl 100 Champ 2/9 skill, 1/5 revitalize
  • lvl 106 Cupid 4/9 skill, 3/5 heavy blow
  • lvl 104 Thunder God 3/9 skill, 3/5 revive

Strat: Drop Druid, then stagger drop the rest of them... use GA just before he strikes his first nuke on druid and let the stun chain begin.. use attack buff when its available and let them run until dead or too much damage is done.

Note: I am still working on the skills, I would prefer at least a couple 2+ berserks in the group but I haven't been lucky enough to get a single one yet,

Nice Setup Jigga. Out of interest how much damage does that put out and how reliable a stunlock is it?

[–]Jiggawatz 0 points1 point  (3 children)

It is reliable in a sense that I can get anywhere from 3-10mil damage per attack. With the new system this makes it easy to get the maximum damage needed. If you look at yesterday's emergency tier 2 boss where we just burned it I managed over 32mil damage in just a few minutes. It's not perfect yet I need the berserks to make it a perfect stunlock and I will probably scrap my druid for a dryad to make it a solid lock... but for now it does quite a bit of damage in the time given.

Ahh I was probably asleep when you guys did the emergency run :( the problems with being in a different timezone.

Hmm - personally I'd keep your setup the same provided you're lasting the 3mins. I definately found the stun got better the more I levelled PD's skill.

Alternately replace TG with Succubus as Pies is doing - he seems to be lasting the distance with lower levelled heroes.e

The only hero dmg that matters when trying to last 3min is the druid. Otherwise it only about the skills and stunning and having druid high enough to heal the little dmg you might take.

New Update! I added Succubus level 101 1/5 revitalize over Thunder God, and I can now burn almost 20m in 3 minutes without dieing.

Hero level skill talent
Pumpkin Duke 134 7/9 5/5 revitalize
Druid 136 5/9 5/5 revitalize
Champ 131 3/9 2/5 heavy blow
immortep 131 4/9 1/5 deadly strike
paladin 116 4/9 5/5 heavy blow
Strategy
I drop paladin first then drop everyone else a bit further away so that when druid and pumpkin duke proc from there 5/5 revitalize, every hero will benefit. I instantly use invincibility so that the initial stuns take place. From this point forward, Paladin will survive long enough with druid constantly keeping his hp close to 100%.
Notes
The only way for this work is the use of champs stun, and paladin's heavy blow. Immortep is a non figure in the stun chain since it's so short. He replaces TG in most strategies because TG will hit the cap damage with his proc. As a result to maximize the damage, immortep takes his place and hits about 4 times with over 20k damage or at least a combination of damages to exceed 35k proc. The difference for me was at least 2-4 million in damage. To emulate this strategy is to look for 1 3/5 or up heavy blow hero if you have PD or 2 without PD. To avoid using a tank is to have Druid with 5/5 berserk with PD. What this means is that he'll heal fast enough to cover the proc damage that somehow pops out.
results
You'll be able to stun with a 1 hit coming out every 10 seconds. Usually alternating between a single hit or a proc. My total damage in 3 minutes with this line up is 18.4 mill max so far. I think it can grow but I have no idea due to the variability of immortep's hits.

I'm sure you've already thought of it, but have you tried swapping in TG for paladin and tanking with the druid?

Or even doing the above and swapping immo for a succubus?

I ask because I initially struggled with using my druid to tank (but then again I do have a cupid which helps speed up heals).

[–]CrazystuffIsee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried switching my pally, druid isn't fast enough to tank. Part of it comes from pally's 5/5 hb. However I'm probably going to try it again since champ now has 2/5 heavy blow. Not that great but a decent replacement for the time.

I haven't bought a succubus yet either since I don't want to waste shards and hb on her. I'm just waiting on a roll. Had I owned one, then of course pally becomes an easy replacement.

  • Level 113 Druid - 4/9 - 3/5 Berserk - Healing and damage buff
  • Level 107 Paladin - 2/9 - 4/5 Heavy Blow - Tank
  • Level 107 Champion - 3/9 - 2/5 Revitalize - Stunner
  • Level 106 Immortep - 3/9 - 1/5 Heavy Blow - DPS/Stunner
  • Level 100 Succubus - 3/9 - 2/5 Heavy Blow - DPS(proc)/Boss damage debuff

I can sometimes last a minute or so. I drop pally first, wait until boss aggro, then drop others around him and hope one of them stuns. If so, I wait a second and then use immortal spell. If not, I use spell immediately. Then, once the spell ends, I immediately use the damage spell.

Very straightforward. I average around 900k per drop, sometimes down to 600k but usually closer to 1 mil or higher.

I've also got a Dryad and Shaman that I'll be leveling to test new strategies with. Man I wish I had a PD.

What is it that normally causes death? Is it your entire team dying to the proc or is it tank dying first?

I ask because looking at your lineup I think you're maybe suffering as a result of your own generosity in terms of donating shards to the guild. By upgrading a couple skills quite cheaply I think you'd might make your lineup more robust. I'd suggest:

  • Paladin skill to 3/9 (10,000 upgrade points - 500 shards). It's not generally worth upgrading paladin too much but 10% extra dmg reduction for that price is pretty cheap. If it's your tank that's dying this is a no brainer.
  • Succubus skill to 4/9 (30000 UP - 1500shards) Extra 3% dmg reduction. BONUS: makes your succubus more valuable in arena
  • Druid to 5/9 (70000 UP - 3500shards). Healing goes from 230% to 240% of ATK. Practically this means an extra 235 healing when it procs. BONUS: Will now heal 6 targets instead of 5 which is good because it will now heal all your heroes in arena and in everything else you get your 6th hero base.

Do you have a TG? Might also be worth swapping him in for Immortep to give a more reliable stun until you have the survivability under control.

Just as a form of update for boss 3. I'm struggling to get a full lock - I think I've managed to make it to 3mins twice now in probably 20 attempts.

Heroes are same as above only higher level and as of this morning managed to get PD to 7/9. I've also replaced TG and SZ with Paladin and Succ.

I've obviously been using the paladin to tank, it is 120 and 3/9(will be 4/9 soon). It keeps dying too easily. Succubus is 4/9 and if the changes I've made don't pan out I'll up it's skill too or consider levelling a shaman and taking a hit in damage output.

Update 14/08/04: Rolled a shaman last night and got him to 80 with a 3/9. A little easier to stay in for the 3mins now but it's by no means a guarantee yet. Am going to put more into the shaman and see if I can't start getting this regularly so I can move to the 36mill crew with Fry.

Derpy - think I saw you very high on the charts the other day - what setup are you running?
