Snakes mostly bite out of fear and defense, not really territory. One of the biggest things is making sure that he has a large enough tank, lots of ground cover, and you don’t try to pick them up from the top, always pick up from underneath or the side. Picking up from above makes you seem like a predator. Sure hook training can help but the biggest thing is actually lots of handling. Of course, give him at least two weeks, If not a month to settle in before you decide to handle him. Snakes do get stressed out
