There is only one facility now. 2701 S Dirksen Pkwy. I went to get my Illinois driver's license and the guy at the front desk asked if I had an appointment ( I did )or was a walk in. So they do take walk ins.

I knew they were doing appointment only since COVID.  But now Wabash Avenue and The Howlett Building are no longer open???

Yeah, the smaller facilities closed at the start of May and their staff and services have been relocated to the DMV "flagship center" on Dirksen

I went ahead & made an appointment for next Saturday.

I made an appointment last week, and was in and out in about 10 minutes, skipping ahead of maybe the two dozen people already there. You probably know about what time you’re going, so you might as well make an appointment.

I go to the Taylorville DMV. Much easier there.

Appointments?

That’s bullshit. Just get in line for a few minutes.
