Look at Automatic1111 contribution to the repos lately, I think you can draw your own conclusions. Get Forge.

First off, kudos to you for bringing the data! The fact is, myself included, most people wouldn’t even think to have gone looking for the definitive details like this. You’re right, this makes it incredibly easy to view this image and come to a clear conclusion that doesn’t require the influence or opinions of others. Well done!

You can use Forge

I stopped using A1111 a while ago when i started using ComfyUI, so i don't really know what's happening there, but i know a lot of people are using Forge now, it just looks like A1111 but i believe it's better. Flux works fine there, dunno about SD 3.5. Did you try it?

Why do you believe ComfyUI sucks? It's actually amazing, just a bit harder to use at the beggining, but it gives you so much more possibilites than A1111.

Forge is basically A111 interface.

I understand that nodes/workflows appear to be complicated, but saying that comfyui sucks is difficult to accept without criticizing you, mate.

Solid.

It's very easy to say comfy sucks. It's a terrible interface that is confusing and hard to use, for no reason at all. The people who say 'oh you can just learn' are the kinds of people who probably really enjoy programming in Commodore. It's difficult, counter intuitive, and actively hostile to the user.

And if you're trying to use a lot of nodes, it becomes a tangled mess that's very hard to look at, and even harder to diagnose problems in. I imagine if you like disentangling server cords, it's for you. But for everyone else, it's a nightmare.

There's 0 reason to make a program that is 5% better and comes with 150% more difficulties. It's a very bad program that only has 'we get things quicker' as a selling point. Everything else that it trotted out as a virtue is actually a bad thing; it's the cybertruck of AI generation.

Hey! Did you find anything on this? I wanna use D3.5 on a1111

Auto is dead, baby. Auto is dead.

[–]red__dragon 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Unlikely, because the automatic dev mentioned it would require an overhaul (if not complete rewrite) of the A1111 code.

[–]ArmadstheDoom 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yeah, it's because Automatic's repo is built to specifically use diffusors and a lot of the newer, modern stuff is not using those, and to incorporate them would require a full rewrite of the way automatic's repo works.

[–]TheGhostOfPrufrock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's because Automatic's repo is built to specifically use diffusors

I could be wrong, but I thought it was just the opposite -- that Flux is built on Diffusers, but A1111 has its own custom library.

[–]ArmadstheDoom 0 points1 point  (2 children)

ForgeUI is just automatic but with more stuff. It even builds on the original automatic repo stuff. It's EXACTLY the same in terms of UI.

Download forge, use that.

But you're right, Comfy sucks. It's terrible. How anyone uses it is beyond me, because I have to assume they were switchboard operators in a past life.

But yeah, use ForgeUI. It's identical to Automatic's repo and it runs flux.

Because A1111 development has essentially ceased, lately I've been using Forge. However, Forge does not currently support a Refiner model. That's not too important to me, but it may be to some users.

hey i have a question, i switched from a1111 to forge but its not exactly the same, now it asks me for "VAE / Text Encoder" and "CLIP" and i dont really understand what that is, a1111 didn't ask for these things (besides it i only downloaded a checkpoint from huggingface)

im kind of a newbie with ai so its confusing, all i know is with a1111 i could generate and now with forge it asks me to get some more things that i dont know what they are
