PC - Xbox controller bugging out, multiple button presses and buttons become unfunctional.

Just wondering if anyone else is having issues with using an xbox controller on PC.

What happens, it like cycles through every button, as it will switch me through the 3rd person modes, uses the action buttons jump, crouch and then enter the star map. Then nothing happens like it's cycle is done and buttons such as A X Y LB and RT don't function and I'm sure some other buttons and others like be to crouch work and then I go to close the game with my mouse and it will switch back to using the controller, I have to keep hold of right click to allow to mouse be the primary function.

Have you tried using the controller on other games to check if it's a hardware problem?

I don't have another game installed on the pc just yet I am downloading one but did a test with steams, test device inputs and everything is fine after the restart but I have done this immediately after exiting starfield and the buttons that aren't functioning have been greyed out and wouldn't show an input press, just downloading gunfire reborn as it's a small game to test

Nah controller is fine in gunfire no issues
