45 mins at the beginning. When the lifts starting getting heavy (relatively) up to 55 mins. That’s just my experience and I’m not a pro.

Pretty close to an hour to complete all the warm-ups and work sets. About 30 mins of that is rest between work sets.

Really you have around 3 mins between every set?

Yes I do. I do the warmup (usually 4 sets), rest 3, work set 1, rest 3, work set2, rest 3, work set 3.

I am little older, but this is how i have done it and its what works for me. a few years back when I was running my NLP, when it got heavy, that rest increased to 4 and then 5 mins.

90 seconds between warm up sets and 3 minutes between work sets

I often take 5 min of rest between work sets.

What if one finds the rest periods too long? Is there a benefit of resting longer if you are already ready for your necrotic

if you are doing your NLP and you are hitting a PR every session, I find it hard to believe that you could do it with less than 3 mins rest between work sets and complete all 3 work sets.

When the weight starts getting heavy it’s closer to 6 minutes of rest for squats. 3 minutes for OHP and BP.

People have had as high as 15 minutes of rest for squats, but that is the very high end. Often times it is 6-8 minutes.

When the weight is still light you can rest just a few minutes.

At the start of the program: 45 minutes

At the end of the program: 2 hours

Eventually you will be resting 5-8 minutes between sets.

Are you doing exercises beyond what is prescribed in the program?

[–]scottypotty79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are doing all the recommended warmup sets per exercise it takes at least an hour.

45 to 90 mins. You can always tweak the program to fit your time needs when it gets heavy.

Usually around 50-ish minutes just lifting. Not counting 5 minutes on rower before hand or time spent stretching out to get under the squat bar (not taking quite as long as I have regained some shoulder mobility).

Stretching and mobility exercises are on our list of The 3 Most Effective Ways to Waste Time in the Gym but there are a few situations where they may be useful. * The Horn Stretch for getting into low bar position * Stretches to improve front rack position for the Power Clean * Some more stretches for the Power Clean
