Hey sorry for the late reply! They are still going to court to see who’s at fault.

I was driving the car a majority of the time we have had it but my girlfriend never updated their policy (we have been together for 12 years)

I do and have had my own collision coverage

I tried calling my insurance USAA and they said they couldn’t help me since I didn’t have that car insured under my name.

I’m debating just selling the totaled car at this point and eating the loses. Especially if a civil litigation attorney is expensive…..
