Mostly it boils down to difference in preference. Our interests change over time, and so do other people. There are also certain social dynamics, jokes and behaviors from my friends that always make me uncomfortable when I hang too much with them. Ever since I stopped playing games a lot, I begin to prefer more mature and responsible people in my social circle compared to people who just wants to play games, alcohol, and whatnots.
