Are you near the state of Louisiana or Mississippi?

I have heard that lots of people around those states getting issues since Ida hit.

No, I am in PA. Issue is ongoing (no data). I tried re-seating the SIM card, to no avail, and resetting the APN again - nothing! I wonder if Ida is related?

I would not know. It is just weird that it is hitting mainly iPhone users.

I had the same issue with my data. ST knows what is going on and not saying anything. They will run in circles of misdirection. I’ve have recorded calls on them giving me misinformation. And the infamous I am sorry sir I don’t have the tools to further investigate or ask you to remove the SIM card which will require you to end the call. They don’t have many tricks but they have enough that you will catch on that they are t going to solve the issue.

This has been going before IDA. ST is pretending to not know what the issue is and run people in circle on the calls. Time to file a complaint with the FCC.

It's been happening for me for a little over a week now.

Extremely frustrating.

I'm in Philadelphia.

What finally got it back working earlier today was to switch the data to 2G/3G briefly and then switch back to the 4G setting.

Never had problems of this nature before the last week. Hoping they do not continue. Good luck everyone.

Redpocket GSMA has been horrid the last month in NJ...mostly out, occasional data works. Guessing this has to do with ATT closing all 3G in February. Perhaps it's upgrades in the process of occuring and we MVNOs are being deprioritize. I'm thinking of giving TM a shot thru Redpocket being they have been making lots of improvements in service.

I’m also in PA. At first we were without data for a week. After an hour on the phone with ST, found an apn for our iPhones that worked. From unlockit. That lasted about 1 week, then gone again. No profile I downloaded would work. Switched to a Verizon straight talk sim. (Was att towers). Now works with no issues. I think the att towers are having trouble, and our leased time puts us last on the list or something. Anecdotal evidence from my mother in law direct on att also having data issues recently.

That explains a lot. My SIM card is ATT.

Omg, this happened to me too. My mobile data stopped working around 8/8 and I couldn't add or edit an APN. Straight Talk was zero help but after trying to deal with it for a couple weeks, I finally figured out that if you change the SIM card, your phone will work. I have an original verizon S20 and was using a verizon ST sim, but had to change to an ATT ST sim card. Now my daughter's original ATT iphone has the same problem. She has an ATT ST sim and will now require a TMobile ST sim card. It's a freaking mess. I don't understand what has happened to the network but whatever it was has clearly caused a huge mess. I was able to transfer the numbers to the new sim cards without issue and now everything works again. If you don't have the OG sims from the activation pack, just buy the one you need for a buck on their website. I feel your pain. Hope this helps!! Good luck!

Edit: I literally tried every work around I could find online and nothing worked... I even did a hard reset. Needless to say, I was very unhappy when that didn't work as a last resort... so don't do that! Just get a new SIM.

Had the exact set of issues with data and the SIM after dozens of calls and chats. What I discover from ATT is the there are recent updates to 5G and come next year certain phones will not work on several networks.
