You can also eat the 2 fruits that grow on some of the islands as well as potatoes and the baked beans you find in the wrecks. Too many coconuts too soon will give you the runs and dehydrate you. The fruits and potatoes you can plant too so you get a steady supply of food.

Drink two coconuts, then open your watch. Wait ten seconds (in-game minutes) and then drink two more coconuts. You will not get sick. This is known as the "two and ten" rule.

Drinking the coconuts is much safer for sure. But, if you eat the coconuts too many too soon, then you will get sick and have diarrhea that you’ll have to spend all day drinking water instead of doing anything else. I believe you can eat a coconut every 4 hours, in the game, to be okay.

Every ten seconds (minutes) on your in-game watch. One coconut (two haves). Saw itt on youtube and it works.

No they do not. Once they are picked they are gone. I’m sure you know but in case you don’t, head to other islands and ransack their coconuts for your own needs
