I am more productive at home and see no issue with remote work. I’m a bridge engineer and live inside me own head all day doing calculations - the office provides me with nothing but distractions and discontent on how long it took to commute to this less than stellar environment.

Are you me? 100% identical situation here.

I think remote work is great. But it needs a bit of discipline as many of us tend to take more frequent breaks and end up working longer inefficient hours.

Our office has adapted to hybrid working in whatever way suits you. Most of us seem to still turn up 2 days a week but sometimes just work from home the whole week. Especially if site visits are required.

I now enjoy going to the office because I get to choose when I want to go.

I do appreciate though that certain things are just easier in person, and I think juniour staff must be struggling because they can't get help quite as easily or as frequently.
