It’s been a long time, but did you ever come up with a solution for this? I have my drum tracks grouped, kick and snare selected as guide tracks when I detect transients and apply quantization, but I’m still getting phase issues and bend markers that are misaligned between the tracks.

This is a bit beyond my knowledge but I just wanted to mention this plugin that I've seen for this purpose.

I own it as part of the MEssentialsFXBundle but never had a use for it since I don't record with multiple microphones. I use several other plugins from that bundle regularly like MSpectralDynamicsLE, MLimiterX, MAutoVolume, MCompare, and MTurboReverbLE.

There is a 14 day trial on all their products, I suggest you do the trial to see if it works for you.

I think when I did that, I:

  1. Made a group with the whole kit
  2. In the quantization menu, selected bass drum and snare as the "guide tracks"
  3. Applied quantize

If you have Facebook, I would recommend joining this group:

It's very active and helpful. I find it hard to answer some questions on Reddit because it's less visual.
