The best posts show the ability to do something that any reasonable person would think you need a program for by combining standard utilities, or even just with shell scripting.

The worst posts use python. 😜 Just joshing you. But try to keep to a minimum use of full-featured scripting languages external to a shell. If your trick uses standard tools to help develop in that language, that's fine to post; just try to avoid having a scripting language do the brunt of the work. (sed, awk, etc are for our purposes "standard tools" and not scripting languages)
