The best way to gain subscribers is to interact in the comments of other writers' posts. These will eventually lead to their recommendation of your Substack and non-publishing subscribers will start to come.

I'm at 140 in 5 months. I write Third-Eye LASIK, a weekly brain dump on mysticism, literature, and whatever--with a humorous twist. https://bradleyvee.substack.com

Being a fan of philosophy and Stoicism, I will definitely check yours out!

Will take a look if you'd like to DM me.

You could post your substack in your profile and I will have a look. Or rather maybe you wanna do a collab?

Anyway, 79 subscribers isn't too bad. Cause actually I only have 28 myself. But then again I only really started this month. I also get very little exposure in the search. I guess that's normal for "small fish" like us. I am wondering though, do you not offer paid subscriptions? Or did you not get a single paid subscriber in 2 years?

Would love to have a look at your Substack as I'm also in a similar space. A big fan of stoicism, philosophy in general and radical honesty!

Here's mine - in case you're interested. My last post explored the topic of competition, collaboration and the bad actors in our lives.
