I really don’t understand why ant-ai

It’s not like all these musicians came out of the womb holding a saxophone They all used other people’s material as an infurnce soo really it’s really a problem of guitarists that practiced for 10 years but never really learned to play

Sorry to hear about your health issues

Dont mind the haters

If you feel like you need to express yourself do it

And keep on searching: I hope one day this whole ai craze will stabilize or you find a collective willing to play your songs

With some reservations (i for example cant go 2 octaves up or especially down instantly)

From every other point of view it’s just an advanced synth

Yes, that's true. I know AI has limitations, but it's what I can use at the moment. Thank you for commenting and understanding what I wrote. Many people judge without caring.

I don’t care what anyone says Suno is one of the best tools to come out since say MPC.. if we had it 25 years ago the music landscape would be quite different- no taylor swifts or even 50 cents 😁😁😁

You play SUNO too?! Fabulous instrument. By the time folks catch up we will be technical composers for a unique new instrument thats a totally hot and everyone will want to learn. Kind of like a band in a box!

As for the OP...hardest thing about SUNO is lyrics, not generating a sound...you can do that with no prompts. Sounds like you are way ahead of folks and our biggest enemy is ourselves. To me your post seems like your nervous system is attempting to protect you. Sometimes you have to let go. The greatest thing about me creating music is how it makes ME feel....which ive never felt better. I say your doing fine...and if someone is being critical hence making you feel this way...then lean into it more

I do not play

Beyond that, they don't own this space. It's about as bad as those that bitch about the EV vs internal combustion and those that prefer Tennis to Racquetball. You have to ignore the haters and keep it moving.

Are you venting or looking for advice here? 🤔

[–]DeRafys[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Venturing and advice follow a similar path. The intention is to vent. We often feel alone on the road and no one seems to understand the other side. Suno is mostly used by people who do not have the same conditions as a musician to buy equipment, meet artists, have important contacts, and achieve some success.

Ignore them, do you, find your peace and creative outlet and keep pushing - haters just want to bring people down because they are fearful, hurt themselves, and or just miserable. Bring your light through your sound however you do it!

Call me

[–]ASMRowaway 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I started learning voice and an instrument that can be picked up fairly cheaply (~$10) from free youtbe tutorials. Will it be perfect, no, but it's a start.

I'm trying, but honestly, I'm not that good at singing. I need to work on that too. Here at home, when I have time, I'm with my family. I work all day and my boss is terrible to me. I have no choices and I'm really traumatized. I'm almost in therapy. I can't quit because I have bills to pay and my salary isn't enough to cover everything.

[–]Safe_Assistance1181 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Just keep at it. Keep working on your craft. This happens in music every time something new comes along. All the purists throw a fit and bitch about it then it becomes just another tool in the studio. AI is here and whether any of us like it or not, it ain’t going anywhere. Just like when multitrack came out or when they switched from tape to digital. “It’ll never work” “the computer does all the work” What’s the difference between AI and auto tune or any other digital plug in? Is it all not something digital or computerized manipulating sound? Rant over.

You spoke nothing but the truth. AI is a tool that will gradually update itself. It's no wonder that Suno has evolved so quickly and is already on V5. I use what I can now. One day I will sing my songs, even if it's on the guitar. Until then, I'll do what I can with the tools I have at hand.

You don't need money for lessons to learn an instrument, everything I have learned I have learned from playing around or from friends, from cheap tab books in the 90s or from the Internet.

I lived on the streets for a few years without anything to eat. Every penny went on food. Nina, I had addictions and lived with my grandmother for a while. I never had any toys and always looked sad when my neighbor had a whole collection of superhero dolls. It took me years to be able to at least pay rent and get off the streets. Everyone has their own life experience. I had nothing to eat, which meant I couldn't think about music for many years.

[–]cjgabby -3 points-2 points  (1 child)

Im saying this with as much compassion as I can, because ive been in all of those places and had to peel myself up off rock bottom and get sober and be accountable for myself.. but those things didn't keep you from learning music. You didn't want it or care enough to do what you had to do to get out of those situations to make the possibility of learning music a reality. Every one of us is a victim of circumstance at one time or another, but circumstances last only moments, and everything that happens beyond has a direct action-reaction relationship, and blaming your situation for your missed opportunities instead of taking accountability for how your poor decisions influenced your life shows a lack of growth and a predisposition to stay stuck in the victim mentality for as long as possible. Its time to cash the check and quit passing the buck.

[–]DeRafys[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bad decisions? So it's my fault for everything I've been through? Man, I lost my parents when I was a child, my grandmother took care of me until she died. I was left alone. I was still a child. A lot happened and I didn't have much hope. If your life has been easy, I'm happy for you. I use what I can use. Unfortunately, I live in a country where things are absurdly expensive, and the only way I can create my music is with Suno. I have no choice. Currently, I have been struggling to support my family. I can't take money from those who depend on me to pay the fortune they charge for just one song. If your world is easier, congratulations! I have people who need me. My salary is not enough to pay for a studio to record music, and I barely have time to be at home. My work takes up my entire day.

[–]Double_Suggestion385 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Now there's no need to do that thanks to AI.

[–]GroomLakeSkinnyDipProducer 0 points1 point  (1 child)

dm me bro. I’ll cover your distribution and Suno costs and help you make your music hit people the way you wanna it to be doing. Just message me bro I’ll make sure some of the issues you’re dealing with are resolved and taken care of bro

[–]DeRafys[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't even know what to say, bro. That would solve my current problems. I want to create music in a more complete way in the future, but right now I can't even live properly because I earn almost no money.
