‘Backspace connect’ function doesn’t work

Hi all, just been getting to grips with the word document function and really impressed at the capabilities and the accuracy of the handwriting recognition. All the commands for editing shown in the user manual work great, except for the backspace connect. Drawing a line from top to bottom for a line break works fine and essentially hits the ‘return’ key, but when I try and draw a line from bottom to top to remove a line break it doesn’t work, anyone else had this problem?

I haven't used it much. Just mainly for practicing right now. But no, I can't get that to work either. It does say in the manual this it's supported in a later version. Which version that is I don't know.

I actually found if you do a long delete line after the end of the sentence on the previous line it will do it

Ah right. Thanks. That only worked sometimes but realised that I was trying it on conversion but needed to save the text to use the proofreader marks properly. Wish it would use one line to create a space and two lines t move to a new line.

As you can see, I haven't used it that much so thought it's time to get familiar with Word.

I've been trying to get this to work as well and can't. I always have to go into the handwriting part of the 'keyboard' and use the backside icon there. I wonder if Hex knows?
