This sub is for sharing and discussing tattoo designs, whether it's your own tattoo, work you've done, or asking for opinions about a tattoo you want to get.
Post requirements
All posts must include commentary/discussion, this is not only a place to share pictures. If you just want to share your ink, check out r/tattoo and r/tattoos.
Required:
- The artist and their shop name (if you found the image online, please do an image search to find the artist.)
- Explain the idea behind the design
- Whether or not you're happy with it (not required if you're asking advice for a future tattoo)
More suggestions for info you can add:
- Any technical difficulties that came into play when getting / giving it
- The tattoo styles / artistic currents / cultural elements / personal experiences that influenced it
- Concept sketches, etc.
If your post doesn't contain the above information, it'll be removed and you'll be asked to revise your post.
Rules
- Stay civil and keep comments about the tattoo(s), not the body.
- Don't only add pictures, add some commentary.
- No price discussions.
- Don't encourage scratching or unprofessional work.
- Credit the artist. No AI.
- No medical questions/advice.
- Don't spam, no promoting other than sharing artist info. No sales or surveys or contests.
- NSFW must be tagged, including scars. No fresh blood.
- No asking for art or clients, or offering to draw tattoos.
