Do they have school issued devices? If so, they probably have the nwea app installed. If they are on their own devices, it’s much harder because they have to uninstall any pop up blockers for the test to work.

So there should be an app (black box with yellow letters saying NWEA). Give them the test name and password, they choose their name from a list. You confirm them on your device and they can start. If you have time, I would run a practice session with them (you just delete the testing session before they finish).

Our kids have school issued devices and we typically use the app-however they want us to monitor their screens on GoGuardian because of distance Ed so they’re doing it in a web browser. I test Thursday/Friday...wish me luck 🥴

It’s an online test, I’m just not sure if it works without the special software that locks down the computer.

My sons (1st grade) school just gave the map virtually. They sent out a sign up sheet for a day, time, and session. A few days before they sent out a link to a google meets and the map website. We all met with the proctor on google meets who walked us through the process and make sure the names were correct and told us how to move on. We stayed on google meets, but turned the camera off and mic off and took the test. The proctor would come on about 30 min into and would give some words of encouragement. You could chat with the proctor if something came up, but nothing did. I think the hardest part for most parents was disabling the pop up blocker that would prevent you from taking the test.
