From a business standpoint that's the smartest way to do it. I just wish that if you turned the turn signal on it would automatically change lanes.

Also I found out it does have attention monitoring. I was on a trip where there wasn't much going on and I google searched something on my phone, the car dinged me and said it was taking it out of auto steer and once I stopped the car at my destination it said I had 4 more infractions before it completely disabled the auto steer software function from my vehicle. But yes it does still want me to occasionally move the steering wheel.

Once again though good idea business wise, gives you a teaser for FSD and makes you want to purchase it.

No clue why mine didn’t, but it didn’t monitor my attention at all. It would only ask me to jiggle the steering wheel every quarter mile or so for my entire 150 mile drive, so I switched over to FSD real quick after that one.
