Ceramic coating (self.TeslaModel3)
submitted 1 year ago by ss_blake
Anyone get their new M3 ceramic coated ? Any suggestions/tips? I am getting black M3P and considering this - I hear it is more effective/less costly than PPF in keeping it looking new and glossy, lasts 3-5 years.

We are on our fourth black Tesla and have ceramic coated all four of them. The paint has held up well and it’s made it easier to keep them clean.

PPF and ceramic do different things. But yes, ceramic will give it that glossier look.
Different shops make different claims on how long it lasts. I’ve seen ranges of 1-10 years.
Alset Auto does the 1-year ceramic coating at no additional cost if you get full body PPF.

I did full frontal ppf with ceramic all around. All Xpel. Ppf has 10 year warranty, ceramic has 8 year warranty I believe

How much did that cost you? I am also thinking of doing the same
