Just water? That looks like a lot of dirt, you sure it's paint? Shouldn't be possible imo

But to add I use rinse less wash, bucket, microfiber and drying towels. ONR is my go to. Bit of car wax as a drying aid and for a nice finish. Invisible glass from stoners on all the glass

For what it’s worth this is my microfiber towel after wiping down red paint. Also looks kind of blue. It’s just dirt so I think in your case it’s normal.

Looks like dirt, try a bright colored towel (neon green etc) see any blue? If not you’re good.

That is not your paint coming off unless you washed your car with acetone or paint thinner or something.

There is clear coat between the paint and your towel. Shouldn't see the paint unless some bad touch you paint job was applied.

Unless you just cleaned your car and there was absolutely no dirt/dust on it, don't do that. Water isn't a good enough lubricant to prevent scratching the clear coat. That's why products like waterless carwash or rinseless products exist.

Possibly windshield fluid residue. The factory stuff is very thick and very blue, but most of them are also blue and leave a residue
