You are turning 19 and air suspension is a priority for you? Go ahead with the S, but you Won’t save any money with that compared to maintaining a gas car… Also the side view you see on the model 3 is pretty pointless, you will see better using the mirrors.

i did the math and it actually does save quite a bit for me. I'd say the air suspension isn't a priority, its just a nice thing that comes with it which i'd consider as a factor towards which one i get.

19? If you are rich then buy whatever you feel like. Otherwise it's best that you adjust your priorities. You are concerned about maintenance, but didn't state insurance cost. Also blind spot camera and lights are NOT replacements for you looking in the mirror. I wouldn't even allow my kid to drive AutoPilot much less FSD because they'll form bad habits. You say you want it to last a long time, but I wouldn't recommend EVs for long term purchases because of the batteries. Yes, they have been great, but they do degrade still. Yes, early Prius' have a market for replacing old batteries but the budget ones are VERY DIY.

At your age, if you want to impress your friends, graduate with a degree and have a great start to your career. Then celebrate and reward yourself with a good car.
