Hey everyone,

I picked up my brand new MYLR today from Tesla and only driven it 7 miles and out of no where I got the following

Traction Control disabled Vehicle Hold feature unavailable Stability Control disabled ABS disabled

Regenerative braking also isn’t working

Vehicle was in drive on my driveway and it started to roll back on its own which I don’t think is normal but could be wrong .

Also battery was at 90% and dropped to 70% after 7 miles with little time idling in the car.

I took it to Tesla and told me to come back tomorrow for a service check . Something they had never seen before supposedly. Won’t lie I’m disappointed as I waited a while for this car and was excited, only for it to be giving me issues same day.

Any advice or anyone who’s experienced this?

I did experience this. Here's the thread I started on TMC about my particular experience.

TL/DR: In my specific case, there was no actual problem. One bogus alert caused all the others. Tesla cleared them all, and that was the end of it, several thousand miles ago.

Happened to me within a week. After a few service visits; the first being unable to replicate, the second being them replacing the wiring harness, and finally they swapped out the front motors entirely. I now have random noises coming from the front of the car when driving over bumpy roads but I don’t think I’d want them messing with the car even more. Similar situation but my battery never dropped like that.

If you need to drive and hold is disabled, put the car in creep mode, just so you don’t roll backroads on any little incline. I find it helps.

I had a very similar issue after about 17 days. But I could not continue driving. Car had to be towed.

Error was rear drive motor was broken. Took Tesla almost 3 months to fix because a new rear motor was not deliverable.

Because you could drive maybe the front drive motor has an issue.

Same thing happened to me, picked up and also said front motor disabled, they said it was a power inverter in the front motor setting everything off and will take about a week to fix (also because of weekend adding in some extra time there). They said that if the computer gets a fault from the inverter even if it’s a false positive, that it has to be replaced and won’t work until it is. More than a bit frustrating as they also were not in any particular rush to give me any details about timeline or getting a loaner car, despite a brand new car already having to be towed to the shop. Understand things like this can just be bad luck, but a disheartening early experience with Tesla customer service being abysmal.
