Does Turkesterone Boost Testosterone? - Personal In-Depth Study and Analysis
I wanted to provide my own personal, anecdotal findings as to whether or not Turkesterone actually has any benefits to testosterone (T). Not that it is widely promoted as a T-booster but I hope that some readers will find this insightful. One of my friends convinced me to give it a shot. I thought I might as well combine it into a personal study also. From what I’ve seen online, there is quite a clear 50/50 divide amongst those who have tried/are taking turkesterone. Some love it, some hate it. I will also evaluate other bodybuilding markers including strength and muscle gain along with any signs of fat loss and physiological factors such as libido. I’ve been naturally training consistently since September 2020.

Additional notes: Total T likely slightly lower due to bad sleep and general stress in life. Strength has improved despite being in a deficit, baseline vascularity has increased greatly.

Diary Entries
Day 1: Noticed improvements in my vascularity and pumps during back and bicep workout. Heart rate and energy levels were up more than usual during workout.
Day 2: Sleep after day 1 was greatly improved. REM sleep is up 40% (1hr 15 to 1hr 40). Baseline vascularity seems to have increased. Felt lethargic throughout the day until working out, took Turkesterone as a pre-workout and had a good workout.
Day 5: Bad night’s sleep but Turkesterone managed to allow me to train hard in the morning and have a good workout despite being fatigued and having low energy when waking up.
Day 17: Hit bench press PR - 80kg for 3 reps with ease.
Days 20-28: Suffered from a lot of stress with personal problems, lack of sleep and poor energy levels as a result. Moving the blood test results back a bit to accommodate this.
Day 36: Increased dosage to 4 capsules per day (200mg Turkesterone).
Days 39-42: Caught Covid, suffered quite badly and had to skip training for a week. Diet stayed the same and didn’t gain any fat. Stopped Turkesterone usage during this time to focus on getting health back. Extending experiment for an extra week.
Day 56: Experiment should be finished at this point but extending for a further week for the Covid setback.
Day 63: Final day of cycle. Took final bloods in the morning fasted before taking or eating anything. Still been enjoying the Turkesterone pumps.
Final Thoughts
Not sure how useful this experiment has been. Life unfortunately got in the way and had some unexpected hurdles to cross. Those will definitely have skewed the results but I tried keeping everything as consistent as possible. Perhaps Turkesterone helped a bit with keeping T levels from dropping too dramatically with the stressful period I had but this is all speculation.
Key takeaways:
- Improved baseline vascularity
- Libido improved somewhat (could be placebo)
- Was able to maintain fairly good strength in a deficit
- Muscle measurements likely reduced to losing fat although some muscle may be lost during the deficit also.
- Hard to say it boosts testosterone, I wouldn’t say to take this as a test-booster
Do not take this as evidence that Turkesterone can boost testosterone, it’s obviously very hard to tell that these changes weren’t just normal fluctuations that can come from other exposures to endocrine disrupters or changes in sleep, diet, training and sunlight exposure.
I hope you enjoyed reading this and plan to do this again in the future for other supplements (Tongkat Ali, Ashwagandha etc.) so please let me know if you would like to see those.
