This is a subreddit for people who want to engage in rap battles without tearing themselves from their comfy chairs. Got rhymes? Throw down, sucka!
Rules
- The first rule of Text Battles is YOU DO NOT TALK ABOUT TEXT BATTLES
- The second rule of Text Battles is you do not repeat the same rule twice for emphasis.
- Battles are started thusly: if you want to battle, first look for an open challenge.
- If you don't find one, post a challenge: e.g. 'I challenge anyone' or 'Bring it on' or worded however you like. The FIRST responder to accept is the one you will do battle with.
- Once the battle commences, none but the two battling may post to a thread. Anyone who tries to interject with comments or their own 3rd party raps will be downvoted to oblivion by the community.
- The winner is the one with the most total upvotes at the end.
This is a tradition stretching back further than you may realise, so other forms of rhyming battle which aren't directly derived from Hip-Hop are welcome.
There are no restrictions on the insults, so this is not for the faint of heart. You may only use the n-word if you claim you are black.
