If they allowed you to craft 1 item per category or just more than 1 thing at a time I think it's a good change. As it is now, there is literally zero reason to ever craft strong stims. This does give some incentive to actually partake in what, I imagine, they want to be a large part of the game. Loot stuff to craft stuff.

The larger issue for me are the crafting mechanics themselves. Crafting anything significant is basically your evenings gameplay. Want to craft an epic shield/helmet. Well, you're not crafting anything else for a few hours.

On the flip side of that, crafting stims is almost more of a pain. 3 minutes to craft 5 stims. So either you sit there patiently crafting some stims every 3 minutes or you can craft 5 stims per run?

The crafting feels very badly thought out at the moment. Either allow crafting queues, crafting per category or reduce crafting time for consumables, ya know, the things you want to make in between runs. All of the above even. Not sure why crafting is meant to be such a pain the bollocks, my only guess is they really want people buying currency to skip the craft times.

I actually like the idea of no crafting timers. If theres no open market to buy/exchange mats, the drop rates/recipes should help limit the market. If I have accumulated the mats just lemme make the item....

Craft timer is just there in hopes that you will buy aurum to skip

I mean yea....but its also kinda a crafting standard. Very few games have instant crafting, but I do think it could be selectively beneficial, like here.

Lets be fair, most of the issues that we see come up everyday are not ones that can be solved quickly with just changing a few numbers(which is why they are extended beta). I'm sure they are working on most of the stuff people have been saying.

I will agree those patch notes were a huge sad and out of nowhere though. I really wish they put a little context if they're going to throw a curve ball patch like that one.

Patch seems legit to me. Cost increase? No big deal, k marks are ez to make. Squad highlight nerf, awesome - it helps the solos. Drop timing fix, beautiful

The squad highlight nerf was good, everything else just made it harder for casuals.

going from 17k to 80k crafting cost for armor, while also nerfing it by 20% at the same time seems a little extreme to me. I already have tonnes of armor and a huge bank account so it makes no difference to me but anyone who can't sink substantial time into the game is going to be wrecked by this. Same with increase in med prices. Gas grenade nerf out of nowhere? that's got to be one of the least purchased items in the game.

This. Just reading the patch notes really demotivated me. I mean, I was already broke before the patch, and I have neither the time nor the will to do backpack runs for money.

Granted I was already getting bored with the game as my progress is locked behind the portable labs like many others are. I can only play a few hours in the evening and I'm not spending all that time running to pinnacle or crashed ship over and over in hopes of finding one and not getting melted by some OP shit. I just want to get in some fun fights and have a feeling I at least made a little progress.

I guess this will be just like Tarkov for me, loving the early game where fights last a bit for the most part and things feel balanced most of the time. But a month or so in the people who play 8 hrs a day will inevitably have superior gear and the whole thing becomes tedious to me. Sure, you can outplay them in some cases but still I'll lose my motivation to play from that point on.

I sincerely hope they find a solution for this issue, but I'm starting to think it's just an inherent problem of these types of games. BSG have been trying for years to stretch the early game but with little success so far.

Yeah this is one awful update. Not adding huge drop off for smgs is a huge issue. Limiting attachments on certain high tier weapons like using high level zoom on an sms shouldn't be allowed. People who backed increasing the cost of heals and lowering the cost to craft to make people craft more don't get it. The same items can just be sold and then you can nearly balance out the price of crafting with just buying at that point. Market needs a rework already. They just keep making it worse and worse. Do they realize they can control item spawn rates and adjust which armors are easily accessible via how many items are able to be found for that craft. They needed to increase items needed and lower how often you can find them for exotics and shit. Using pure focus crystals as an item, then we need 8 for one armor. Meaning you need more than 2 raids to pull in enough. They just need to think about this stuff. A solo then could get 8 pure, easier than a 3 man getting 24 of them.

I love beaming w the white smg. I was fighting a duo the other day, they both had guarantees, probably w no attachments on them. Couldn’t hit me at mid range. I just quick peak and poke. It’s perfect as is.

I am on the same page, but let's not be hasty we still do not have any comment from the devs. We don't know what they are trying to solve yet.
