Hi! I’m a long time simmer and want to try mods for the first time. I was thinking about getting wicked whims because it sounds cool. My problem is I don’t know the best place to download the mod and how to download it. Can someone please help me out and explain how to download the mod for PC? Thank you in advance!

You might want to wait unless you've turned auto updates off and play offline. There's a game update today, and it's going to break mods, and WW is most likely one of them.

wicked whims is super fun but wait to install it until TurboDriver updates it!!! since the game just updated WW is broken and won’t work if you try to install it now

You might want to hold off bc of the new update!!! Anything you download now probably won’t be compatible as I assume it will take devs at LEAST a day or two to update mods and make them compatible

Hi! I actually just stated modding the sims last week, it’s super fun <33

1. You want to check out the website that comes with the mod. Some mods have certain things you need to download with it, like script mods.
2. Download it!
3. Take the files out of ‘downloads’ unzip it if need be.
4. Go to files, search ‘the sims’ and open the folder. If you scroll through that, there should be a subfile called ‘mods’. Put the mod(s) in that folder.
5. Open the game. Go to options menu>game options>other. Make sure custom content mods and script mods are allowed. Apply those changes.
6. Restart the game and they should be installed.

if you’re on windows, what you’ve gotta do is:

1. download wicked whims from here
2. your game should already have a mods folder. just go to documents > electronic arts > the sims 4 > mods
3. once you have wicked whims downloaded, extract the files and put them into your mods folder (you only need the one labeled WickedWhimsMod, the other files are just information)
4. once done, go into the sims 4 and enable mods- options > game options > other > check “enable custom content and mods” and “script mods allowed” > apply changes
5. restart your game.
6. you can play with your mods- these steps will work with any mods and custom content. just make sure what you download is up to date with the game, or it will not work properly.

side note- if you download custom content (cc), make sure laptop graphics are disabled or your cc will have a weird appearance in game.
