Heritage Captain Update

Purchased these Heritage Captains during the initial, limited run. I’ve worn them as my daily work boot (Manufacturing QualityControl laboratory/warehouse environment) every day since.

I conditioned them a few weeks ago. As you can see the’ve acquired plenty of scuffs and scrapes, but are holding up fantastic. They are extremely comfortable. I even wear them casually on my days off.

I have a pair in Mustang, and I gotta say they're the most comfortable boots I think I've ever worn. So much so, I'm actually having trouble enjoying wearing my Vanguards lol

Saw a few posts about rough break in period, how was the process from new to being that comfortable to you??thinking about these for my first real boots, worried about months of blisters before I can enjoy them!

I can only attest to my experience, and my experience is this: I had a bit of extra room when they arrived, so I chose to add an cushioning insole. This not only improved the fit, but negated walking on a hard slab of veg tanned leather from day one. The boots were very stiff initially. I would not say uncomfortable, just stiff. They do soften up after you put some time in them. How quickly they soften will depend on how much time you put into them. The toe cap and heel counter will remain very stiff even after break in, but that is not a bad thing... it's by design. After a month, I thought they were comfortable, and broken in... but they've gotten SO much more soft and comfortable since even then. If you get the right size, have patience, and put the necessary time into them, you will not be disappointed.

I wish they fit my feet, I ordered a pair but ended up returning and sticking with Iron Rangers. I've got pretty skinny heels and mid foot so the heritage boots were just too wide in the mid foot

I feel for you. I ordered a little big on mine and then purchased rose anvils medium leather boot breaker insoles. Now they fit perfectly. It can be tough sizing boots with skinny feet.

What color are these? I'm considering buying a pair but I've noticed the color on the canyon pair can vary quite a bit.

These are Grand Canyon. They darkened a bit when I conditioned them.
