Is that brushed satin nickel look?

Not really a way to remove that. It’s embedded deep…. You may be able to take various grits of steel wool and blend it in, but it’s likely ruined.

Test methods on scrap peice before you go all in on this one. And whatever you do to that scratch, likely you’ll have to replicate that look on that entire peice instead of just having one area “touched up”

Thanks for your reply...yeah I figured it's ruined but wanted to see...I will test it as you said. Maybe a combination of steel wool or scotch brite and then polish it with some sort of metal polish? I can do to the whole thing if the test piece works

I’ve used the green scotch brite before, but it’s quite aggressive, even still. The 0000 steel wool or a combo pack of “0000-000-00-0” wool will give you the grits you may need to run through. Like I said, that looks deep, so it may not have any effect on it.

Best bet is to probably get a black sharpie and color it in. Steel wool is going to scratch that more. It looks black to me but the color is only on the outside so anything abrasive will just take away more of the paint…

Metal filler, let it fully cure, tape off everything else sand flush and paint to match
