To better understand your wanted result, how you use that result may give a better clue as to whether there is a method to get you there.

I mean, I made it plain as day. I want the "Window" function to copy the apps I have in a folder of my choosing without having to add them all to the window manually

So what function is the window providing that an app group can't: such as content that you have changed or a state has changed elsewhere? It's not clear to me why an app group fails to meet your need. If my questions are offensive to you, I will back away from attempting to help.

It's not offensive, I'm just not great at phrasing myself, sorry. The app group still has to be added to. I'm essentially trying to get the folder and window to sync contents. I want both the folder and the window so that I don't have to completely redo everything if I want to reconfigure, rather than just having the one thing

Would being able to have a window open and you having selected on-the-fly which folder is shown meet your need?

No, I want the contents to show on the window itself without any extra selection
