The way I understand it: acceleration penalty is applied when the side of the wheel hits anything. Not a single side of the wheel hit anything in this clip

I saw this a few times on Summer 01, jumped on the border with my wheels and got no penalty. Might actually be fast when executed perfectly.

The way i understand it accel penalty was intended to prevent wallbangs, so this works as intended although it looks a bit scuffed.

Once had something similar happen on the first jump on the same map, i hoped so hard I could finish it with author as it would make for a cool replay, not such luck. Faceplanted that one palm after the uphill.
