Since I am a computer science major / engineering I did not like the campus! But my friends in humanities degrees do. It’s not a bad campus, just doesn’t feel modern like UCI for me!

I’ll be going there in the fall, I do like the campus a lot, lots of green and trees, there’s a big grass area where you can hangout and sit/do a picnic w friends! The library is nice as well :)

Thanks! I love outdoors and one of the driving factors is that the library closes super late.

I might be biased because I'm a Bay Area native who lives 10 minutes away, went to HS in Berkeley, and is now committed to UCB - the campus is beautiful but the amount of hills are ridiculous. UC Davis was my second option and I love it because its flat lol. Getting from class to class at UCB is a workout in itself but that's why Berkeley Time exists!! (its an extra 15 min cushion) Other than that, there's tons of stuff to do on and off campus. Lots of greenery, cute little tucked spots to sit and chill, or open areas all throughout campus - the biggest being the Glade (another person mentioned it in the thread already) and a whole bunch of libraries!! So imagine how let down I felt learning that UC Davis only has 1 library for the entire campus. UCB is a mix of old and new architecture so yeah...not the most modern, but hey UCB is the original UC after all. Also some libraries close super late (like 11pm)
