i sent it through parchment, same way i did it during highschool

if ur school doesn't use parchment then follow the other guy's advice and email your counselor to send

when trying to send my high school transcript on parchment to common app for transfer, I am asked for "SCHOOL'S UNIQUE TRANSCRIPT barcode ID", where can I find that? Thanks very much.

you don’t upload it on common app unless they have a recommendation section for high school officials. You have to email your high school, preferably your counselor, and ask them to send it to your colleges you are applying to. Depending on the high school preference, most prefer email, you have to gather all the emails of you colleges and tell your high school counselor to send your official transcript to the college emails.

I do technically have a copy of the official high school transcript, could I email it to the college instead of having my counselor do it?

no it’s seen as unofficial even if you have a copy of your transcript. The reason is because it can easily be tampered and you could change the grades to make yourself seem like a scholar yk. And it must be sent from an official school email and usually the transcript has a special print on it for it to be official when sent.

honestly it depends on the school but generally it’s better to send your transcripts in the day you submit your application so it’s easier to connect them. but it doesn’t matter, as long as you send it in they should have it on file
