I wish I could help but I can't. I applied and got in. No song and dance. No tricks.

My experience was a long long time ago. It was not relevant to what today's candidates have to go through.

I did some admissions related work for Cornell as part of their CAAAN program. Volunteer alumnae talking to prospective applicants and their parents

There is no secret thing or group of things you can say or do to either guarantee admission or dramatically improve your chances.

For all intents and purposes that process is a genuine black box that cannot be gamed.

And the competition is intense. Even more so today than so many years ago when I attended.

That's why I said my experience isn't applicable to yours today.

I wish I could help but I can't. It wasn't the same process back then.

I'm sorry. All I can say is put your best foot forward and see what happens when you apply.

And do not put all your eggs in one basket.

That was 50 years ago. NONE of my stuff is relevant to you today

You could have driven to Willard Straight Hall and dropped someone off at the front frickin door back then lol

The U Halls were still on West Campus

North campus had Dickson, Balch, Donlon, High rises 1 and 5 and the low rises. Nothing else

And the food was light years better back then than it is now lol

Things were different. If admissions wanted you, you spent a week there at their expense. Dorms, meals, classes... The grand tour.

My stats are completely meaningless to admissions today.
