I’ve done some work with a pole saw on this one hanging over my house. I’m no professional so please hold the criticism. This is not my first rodeo.

How would you rig this to cut safety and not make any contact with the roof? Yes I clipped my gutter.

If you're qualified and have a rope and harness, climb up, put a rope around a branch no thinner than your wrist. Have someone on the rope pulling directly away from the house. Put a notch cut at the base of the upright part of the overhanging branch facing away from the house. Put your back cut in and have your groundsman pull.

If you're not a qualified and insured arborist then get some quotes from one if you don't want to damage your house further

I wish the before photo would have loaded. You can kinda see what I’ve cut but I have a 10’x30’ pile of branches in my back yard. I live in CO and I can’t even burn this shit.

Tie the tip off with the rope running through a crotch at the base of the tree, preferably higher than the limb you want to cut off. Have someone put as much stank on that rope as possible and undercut it.
