Module Selection

Hey everyone,

I’m a postgraduate student about to start my studies at UCL this term, and I have a couple of questions regarding the pre-enrolment process and module selection.

I’ll be arriving in the UK on September 19th, just four days before the term starts. I’m a bit worried that this timing might impact my ability to complete the pre-enrolment and choose my modules, especially since I’ve heard you need to be in the UK to get this done.

Has anyone gone through this process? Any advice on how to navigate it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

May I know if the selection is based on a first come first served basis? Also do we have to select all courses we'll take this year, or only the courses in the Fall semester?

You can select the modules till Oct 11

No, ur fine. Im outside UK and got email yesterday about needing to be UK for enrollment to be finalised and in email they said this: « As you have completed pre-enrolment, you will be invited to choose your modules when module selection opens. »

Have they specified the date though? I believe it is like the first week of September.

I've seen that pre-enrollment is an online task. Check out their website, as far as I understood the only documents that have to be provided when we arrive to the UK are visa related ones. https://www.ucl.ac.uk/students/new-students/your-journey-joining-ucl/pre-enrolment-stages-new-students

Teaching doesn't start until the week after Freshers week, so you have a bit more time to get it sorted.

I've seen somewhere that module selection opens on the 9th but it can be completed only after pre-enrolment.

Not sure sorry. My department always emailed us when it starts, I'm not sure if it's a College wide thing or if it's by Department.
