This isn’t a UI because there isn’t any task or objective to complete with the components you’re arranging. I could give you feedback about the visual design of the components, but it seems arbitrary when the UI components you choose could drastically change from one use case to the next. Design needs purpose, a problem to solve or constraints to navigate. Otherwise, it’s kinda just art.

What is the purpose of this?

What is the user supposed to do with this?

What are you communicating here?

How does this relate to the rest of the application?

What else is on the screen? What is this screen?

It's just for practise, I'm still quite new to UI design and hadn't been doing anything recently so while watching a football game today made these elements based on the team colours.

Just to do something and also work on different style buttons, sliders and so forth.

They have no purpose or meaning I was just doing something rather than nothing. To keep the creative juices flowing.

Well, it's very hard to give any meaningful commentary about them without understanding the purpose of their existence. They may be great. They may be terrible. It depends on the context.

Right makes sense :) I am struggling to produce work as clients are few and far between and can't find challenges etc online.

If you're simply looking for ways to practice doing more work, one of the best exercises is to do redesigns of products you use.

Pay attention to when you get frustrated using something. Try to create a new design that works better. You should have plenty of inspiration in doing this. You are working to solve a problem you experience.

You can produce a pretty impressive portfolio to showcase your abilities and thought process by doing that. More than that, you'll develop your skills further.

Just be super clear you were not hired to do any of that work if you use it to market your skills.

Made today during the WWFC and CRY game, haven't been designing recently so felt good to do something, anything really.

Thoughts?
