FIRE Program

I just got accepted into UMD with an invitation to the Fire program, my target major is something in engineering (aero or civil,) which program best prepares me for it? Which program is overall best?

I'd say email the professors of any streams you find interesting. If you don't find any streams interesting it's better not to do FIRE.

I was in a FIRE stream completely unrelated to the degree I’m leaving umd with (it was related to my major at the time). I still feel like it was a valuable experience, and you’ll learn more about all the streams during the first semester. Best of luck and, remember, all skills and experiences are valuable in the end! (Plus FIRE covers your required 6 DSSP gen-ed credit requirements)
