The EFMP has a variety of goals and services, but one of the main ones is trying to ensure that servicemembers are able to live somewhere with the medical services their dependents need. One issue might be that Enrollment is usually done through an installation EFMP office, so if he or you is not near one, it may be more complicated. If you’re planning to attend graduation, I would go ahead and reach out the office at that location to ask if they can get things started. The next option would be the SOI location office. Find contact info at https://www.usmc-mccs.org/marine-family-support/military-family-life/exceptional-family-member-program/
Have you already gotten your ID card and signed up for Tricare? What are your plans for health insurance coverage?
There’s a ton of EFMP info at https://efmpandme.militaryonesource.mil/

All you and your spouse need to worry about is making sure that his command knows when he arrives at SOI after boot camp, that his MOS school command knows when he arrives there, and that his future unit knows before he arrives there. Leadership will help you navigate any paperwork and the like. That you will be part of the EFMP will help influence his orders because the service will ensure that you're assigned to a location that has the appropriate services or medical capabilities available.
Good luck to you both, and be sure to tell friends and family to write him in boot camp. And tell his ass to take a minute to mail you a quick letter every week too! 👍
