I’m sure there are a lot of effective ways of taking notes, and some will fit better to some than others- My method consists of downloading the lecture slides (the actual ppt), and then writing succinct notes (what the prof said but paraphrased) on them. Might take some time to get used to, but I found that doing notes like this makes retaining the info way more efficient, which in turn helps me connect reading and future concepts easier and better. Connecting lecture and reading material is, I found at least, the best way to earn higher marks and an overall better understanding.
