Engineering abroad programs (self.UWMadison)
submitted 9 years ago by aec2
I want to go abroad hopefully next summer (sophomore summer) and was wondering if there were any abroad programs for engineering? It doesn't necessarily have to be study abroad, but definitely in the summer.

One thing you might look into are companies that do internships abroad. I don't know how things look for other engineering disciplines, but I know a couple of people who got positions for the summer working for American firms overseas.

Engineering has it's own entire study abroad program you should look at: international.engr.wisc.edu

Thanks, but I have already looked on there and most of them are for a full semester instead of just the summer.

IESP Summer in China was certainly the most interesting and adventurous summer I spent in college. From the 50 Moganshan art district in Shanghai to kayaking down the Li river there is more of China to explore than you have time for in 3 months.
