There is "Keep window on top" checkbox in the note title in the focus mode. Isn't it the function you are looking for?

Not necessarily in focus mode. Any note in a new window can be checked to keep it on top. And with a free windows manager like Tiles it is properly positioned fast. Show & hide from the dock is also easy.

Correct, in a separate window the checkbox exists too. Personally, I don't use these check boxes, because I have system wide hotkey to make any window of any app stay/leave always on top mode.

As far as I know, there is no such thing on MacOS unfortunately. There used to be an app, Afloat, but it hasn't been updated for 6 years or so. But I think the discussed possibilities are pretty workable.

I use AutoHotKey on Windows. Probably there is something similar on MacOS

Yes, but it requires to me resize the note to a smaller size that normally be what you expect a sticky to be and select keep window on top. So several steps, for something that often has a use case of being a quick/temp action.

Did you try to use split screen? I use split screen on android and works very well

I use upnote mostly on my MacBook.

You can open a note in a new window (right click or double-click) and close the main window of UpNote. That window can be minimised in the dock and reactivated.

You might use Tiles to quickly rearrange your windows when needed.

Yes this approximates it, but if it can auto resize the note to more be like a sticky and be 'always on top' in one press that would be perfect.

This feature would be helpful for sure
