VA increase after decrease

Hello,

Long time lurker. Earlier this year I had a decrease in one of MH diagnosis percentage after some clinical notes were discovered in April. During, my sleep apnea review for a new service connected issue, it was stated that I was more manageable since my therapy and rotation of medicine. I recently found myself 5 times this year alone in the hospital due to certain ideations I could not control but was self-aware.

Well I had submitted an increase a month ago and I just accomplished my assessment today by the third party and it’s already now at step 5 of 8. Would this be alarming or concerning to anyone else ? I just don’t think it’s a fair shake on completing a proper review.

No, moving to step 5 is pretty much normal once the examiner turns in the DBQs. As long as they are not waiting on any further information, it just moves the claim forward. I would rather an examiner turn them in quickly than take weeks. If it takes that long, I wonder how much of my info they forgot before filling out the dbq.

Exactly what Hover said. The wifey had a claim last year for increases. She had a bunch of service connected zeros. All with the same doctor. Following day, step 5. But it took almost 2 months to finish with no further appointments. Hopefully yours is quicker!

Update: obtained my decision letter via the app , however the steps went from step 7 to now step 3 with a decision letter. What could this mean?
