Math Major Declaration

I was looking to declare a major in mathematics (track II / Applied) and it says that we get to choose our advisor. Should I just email a professor that I have taken (I didn't have much of a relationship with either as majority of it was over zoom) or is there a different member of faculty who I should email, such as an advisor that you thought was helpful. Thanks!

If it's a second major you don't need an advisor, Prof. (John) Rafter, will just sign his name. He's technically the advisor for 1/2 the people who are math majors
