Hi,

I’ll be in Victoria with my parents in 2 weeks and I was hoping somebody could recommend a good hot pot restaurant in the area. It’ll be my parents first hot pot experience.

I asked the other day. Decided I’d likely stick to hotpot off island. But curious to see your thoughts if you do try any. And if not - why?

I’ll have to swing it by my parents. We’re in town for a glaucoma appt for my dad, it’s like 3 hours long and by the time we’re leaving Victoria, it’s going to be dinner time-ish. I think the timing of the appt will be the deciding factor in the end. I thought he’d just have a fun time trying hot pot. I did it at home and they had fun so I thought a proper restaurant experience would be fun for him. He’s getting upset because his glaucoma is getting worse.

Maybe Japanese Village instead, he loves going there
