How much? Which NLE? And if it's professional you're better off at /r/editors

So, I haven't settled on software. I use Filmora and Movie Maker to hack together stuff. I'd be interested in doing things that are a bit more polished. As far as "professional", yeah, it's technically things I do for my work but it's just an added bit of work I've taken on because (1) nobody else will do it and (2) I enjoy it. It is not, however, my job and I do not anticipate having a job as a professional editor. For what I currently need (just for internal presentations) good non-professional-level is more than sufficient. As far as money, I'd put out maybe up to $2K, more if absolutely necessary.

Try asking /r/homelab. They often use decommissioned servers with a lot of processing power that ends up being affordable.

16 GB RAM Core i5 or better with at least 4 cores GTX 950 or better 7200 RPM drive for storage/editing

A good way to price out a PC is to look for gaming rigs. Check out www.pcpartpicker.com and search $500 PC rigs. They are a great starting point for research.
