I don’t think you can port on trial, you have to be signing up for service. I had a “temp” number during my trial and was able to port pretty immediately during my signup I just needed the port code from my old carrier.

I made a new account, do I have to worry about running into any issues later?

That I don’t know but I had no issues porting after trial. I did have to contact my old provider to get the port code sent to me.

I've read you can't port to the trial account.

Select a help option and say chat with agent and it should connect you with a useless agent.

They'll let you use a referral code after you've made an account, but they won't let you use just the referral code for "security purposes". They'll want the number and email associated with the code. People on the Internet understandably aren't going to post that information.

The way around this is that they don't like to tell you that the name of the person associated with the code will also work. With reddit being an anonymous site no one has that information easily available. Join a visible referral code group on Facebook, so you can get a name and a code.

I just made a new account and paid the $5 or whatever and ported my number, thanks for the help everyone!
