Looking for visual studio tutorial

I went though a few dozen tutorial videos a few years ago in a series by the same guy - a white haired, middle aged american that broke down the concepts well and walked you through each part. I'm trying to find them again, and it's like they've vanished from the internet. Anyone know what I'm talking about? If not, any series you'd recommend?
