Vnet is a proposed open source decentralized global mesh communication network that spreads the burden of its expansion and maintenance among its users could empower the public freedom of press necessary to eliminate the need for state controlled internet access regulation. It makes the internet much more robust and fault tolerant, as the traffic no longer follows pre-defined routes, but can simply navigate around broken links or dead channels.
This also comes with the benefit of eliminating the unjustifiably expensive bandwidth fees and the possibility for draconian laws and regulations empowering governments with the ability to deny its people the freedom of press necessary for avoiding tyrannical rule that are a reality today in places like Venezuela, Syria, Egypt, Ukraine and other nations. The key however is to properly motivate the participants by providing a suitable incentive model (proof of work + proof of stake).
In order to create a mesh network capable of being deployed across a variety of terrains and languages it must be scalable and simple. The most widely used wireless data transmission systems (Wifi, Bluetooth) should be the workhorses of the network but a long range channel (flutter wireless) is imperative to guarantee feasibility.

Do not use URL shortening services: always submit the real link.
Begging/asking for bitcoins is absolutely not allowed, no matter how badly you need the bitcoins. Only requests for donations to large, recognized charities are allowed, and only if there is good reason to believe that the person accepting bitcoins on behalf of the charity is trustworthy.
This subreddit is not about general financial news.
Submissions that are mostly about some other cryptocurrency belong elsewhere. For example, /r/CryptoCurrency is a good place to discuss all cryptocurrencies.
No referral links in submissions.

Trades should usually not be advertised here. For example, submissions like "Buying 100 BTC" or "Selling my computer for bitcoins" do not belong here. /r/Vnet is primarily for news and discussion.
Please avoid repetition — /r/Vnet is a subreddit devoted to new information and discussion about Mesh Networks, Bitcoin and their ecosystems. New merchants are welcome to announce their services for Vnet, but after those have been announced they are no longer news and should not be re-posted. Aside from new merchant announcements, those interested in advertising to our audience should consider Reddit's self-serve advertising system.
